2-Day Hike to Khustup: An Adventure You Will Never Forget

Khustup, Syunik Region

Two days full of unforgettable impressions, clean air and stunning landscapes in the Armenian mountains. The hike covers around 12 km with an elevation gain of around 1100 m. Trekking clothing, trekking boots, a torch and a sleeping bag are required. Participants must also bring a backpack, hat, warm clothing, jacket, gloves, raincoat, sunglasses, food and water for two days. The tour itinerary may be modified and adapted to meet the specific request of the tourist.

Stops

1. Yerevan, Vayk, Svarants, Vaghanavank, Navcha Camp
Departure from Yerevan. Food stop in Vayk village. Svarants viewpoint. Vaghanavank Monastery. Transfer by 4x4 from Bagaburj village (Kapan) to Navcha camp at over 2000 metres above sea level. Setting up tents, campfire, starry night and the atmosphere of a real mountain adventure.

2. Khustup Summit, Eagle Monument, Return to Yerevan
Light breakfast at camp with mountain views. Ascent to Khustup summit. On the way, visit to the Eagle of Khustup monument dedicated to Garegin Nzhdeh. Breathtaking panoramic views from the summit. Descent to camp, then return to Bagaburj village and Yerevan.
